Twice , this painting is based on a lace up shoe I did for designer Richard Tyler for his first runway show decades ago. The reason behind the title Twice is simple , inside the main shoe painting is a second smaller drawing of the lace up shoe in India ink outline. The main shoe is painted in watercolor , burnt orange , green, orange and yellow with a black outline that bleeds on the Arches paper as many of my works do. Noticed in detail on the front of the shoe design are scalloped edges that are a bit hidden in the painting but worth noting.
